Internships

Undergraduate Internships

Advocates offers undergraduate level internships to students with a wide range of majors including, Psychology, Social Work, Marketing, Communications, and Human Services.  Internships are available in a variety of settings including:

  • Residential Services
  • Mental Health
  • Developmental Disabilities
  • Brain Injury Services
  • Autism Services
  • Marketing & Communication
  • Fundraising
  • Day Habilitation Services

Undergraduate level interns are accepted on a rolling basis, but typically run for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Graduate Internships

Graduate level internships are available to students with majors including Counseling, Psychology, and Social Work.  Graduate level internships in a variety of settings to include:

  • Outpatient Services
  • Psychiatric Emergency Services
  • Residential Services
  • Outreach Services
  • Elder Community Care
  • In-Home Therapy
  • Adult Family Care

Our internship supervisors are Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers or Licensed Mental Health Clinicians. Students interested in Fall placements must submit a resume and cover letter no later than March 1st.
