Kay is a partner in the firm of Stoneman, Chandler & Miller LLP, where she represents public and private sector management in labor, employment, and employee relations matters. She is active in the American Bar Association and has served as the Massachusetts State Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates, past member of the ABA Board of Governors, and past Chair of the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity, the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation and the Section on Individual Rights and Responsibilities. She is also past President of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the National Conference of Bar Presidents.
A frequent lecturer to various attorney and human resources groups, Kay provides training to managers and supervisors, and co-chairs programs and participates on several ALI programs on labor and employment topics. She serves on the Board of Directors of several non-profit entities, including the Greater Boston Legal Services, American Bar Foundation, and Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest, Inc. She also serves on the Board of Advisors of Bay Cove Human Services, Inc. and the Boston University Law Alumni Association Executive Committee. She is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
Kay has received the Massachusetts Bar Association Gold Medal for outstanding legal services in Massachusetts benefiting the public, the legal profession and the Association (1999), the Boston University Alumni Association Alumni Award for Distinguished Services to the Profession (1996), and the Boston University School of Law Silver Shingle Award (1995).
Kay received a bachelor of arts degree from Boston University and her law degrees from the Boston University School of Law.
