With fall in the air, volunteers from Regis College came together to spruce up three of our residential programs for the season. 12 volunteers, including students, faculty, and staff, joined us on September 23 to help out with raking, weeding, building a raised flower bed, planting wildflowers, and decorating for Halloween.
Advocates’ residential services provide not only a home but also a place in the community for nearly 800 adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, brain injury, or mental health challenges. Group homes offer a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment and a sense of family among the residents and staff.
This is the second time volunteers from Regis College have partnered with Advocates as part of their annual Founders' Day Celebration, which honors their founders, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, with a day of volunteer service.
