Jennifer Beckford (LMHC) serves as the Program Manager for the Community Outreach Initiative Network (COIN) Jail Diversion Program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hofstra University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fitchburg State University. Jennifer’s early career as an EMT provided her with valuable insights into how mental health issues affect emergency services. Over the past seven years, she has collaborated with police departments across the Ayer district court area including Ashby, Ayer, Boxboro, Dunstable, Groton, Littleton, Shirley, Townsend, and Westford, to create a comprehensive support system for individuals facing mental health, substance use, and community-based challenges. In her role, she supervises COIN co-responders and a post-response community support navigator. The COIN program offers support through co-response in the moment of crisis response and after the 911 call for follow-up and case management post-response services in the towns of Ashby, Ayer, Boxboro, Dunstable, Groton, Littleton, Shirley, Townsend, and Westford.
