Gavy earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and Chinese from the University of Colorado Boulder and later obtained a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Purdue Global. During her academic journey, Gavy volunteered as a victim advocate for a Child Advocacy, where she provided support services to child victims of abuse and their families during the investigative process. Before pursuing her master's, Gavy worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital as a Lead Mental Health Technician. After completing her studies, Gavy worked as a program coordinator at a respite facility that specialized in trauma-informed care with high-risk youth. Currently, Gavy serves as the JDP co-response clinician for the Westborough Police Department.
