Courtney received her master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Health/Mental Health from Salem State University. She earned her bachelor's degree in Human Services with minors in psychology and sociology. Prior to working at Advocates, Courtney worked as a clinician at a maximum-security prison for several years providing ongoing therapy and crisis support to incarcerated men. She has an extensive background working with adults with mental health and substance use diagnoses in a variety of settings including corrections, residential, psychiatric emergency services, and crisis stabilization. Previously, Courtney worked as the Co-Response Jail Diversion Clinician at the Lowell and Marlborough Police Departments. She is currently the Supervisor of the Marlborough, Marshfield/Duxbury/Norwell, and Sharon/Westwood Co-Response Jail Diversion Programs.
