In July 2024, HMEA and Advocates merged. Our shared focus on providing compassionate, high-quality services for individuals and families impacted by autism, brain injury, and intellectual and developmental disabilities has allowed us to expand our impact and advance our collective mission.

Together, we offer services including ABA services, Adult Family Care, day habilitation, employment services, family and caregiver supports, residential services, Shared Living, TechACCESS of Rhode Island, and The Darnell School.

In addition to our developmental and brain injury services, we also offer behavioral health services including outpatient counseling, residential programs, mobile crisis intervention, community crisis stabilization, community justice programming, and integrated care management.

As a comprehensive human services organization, Advocates serves more than 40,000 individuals and families across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our approach is intentional and person-centered. First, we listen. Then, we partner with individuals and families to shape creative solutions that honor their needs and goals.
